Two-Component Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer for Steel, Heavy Anti-Corrosion Coating/High Temperature Resistance

Application Parameters:

  • Density: Approximately 2.30
  • Volume Solids: 50±3% (after mixing)
  • Recommended Film Thickness: 80μm
  • Theoretical Usage: 0.37kg/m²
  • Actual Usage: Approximately 0.63kg/m² for spraying, approximately 0.48kg/m² for brushing
  • Flash Point: ≥27°C
  • Mixing Ratio: 10:1 (by weight)
  • Drying Time:
    • Air drying (23°C): Surface dry ≤ 30 minutes, full dry ≤ 24 hours, fully cured ≤ 7 days
    • Oven drying (workpiece surface temperature 80±2°C): 60 minutes
  • Recoat Interval:
    • Minimum Interval: 6 hours (23°C)
    • Maximum Interval: Unlimited, but zinc salts formed on the surface must be thoroughly removed before recoating to avoid compromising intercoat adhesion and protection.
Pot Life: 20-30 minutes (23°C)
Service Life: 4 hours (23°C)

Application Conditions:

  • Surface Preparation: Steel surfaces should be sandblasted to Sa2.5 level or manually rust-removed to St3 level. Surface roughness should be 40-70μm.
  • Temperature and Humidity: Substrate temperature should be between 0 to 50°C and at least 3°C above the dew point. Relative humidity should not exceed 85%.

Application Methods:

  •
Airless Spraying:
    • Thinner: Epoxy-specific thinner
    • Nozzle Diameter: 0.4~0.5mm
    • Spraying Pressure: 12~15Mpa (approximately 120~150kg/cm²)
  •
Air Spraying:
    • Thinner: Epoxy-specific thinner
    • Nozzle Diameter: 2.0~3.0mm
    • Air Pressure: 0.3~0.6Mpa (approximately 3~6kg/cm²)
  •
Roller/Brush Application:
    • Generally not suitable for large-scale application, limited to small-area touch-up painting.
Shelf Life: 1 year from the date of manufacture under normal storage and transport conditions.
Safety Precautions:
  1. Ensure proper ventilation in the work area.
  2. Strictly prohibit smoking and open flames in the work area and adjacent areas.
  3. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment.
  4. Metal impacts are strictly prohibited.
  5. Prevent the accumulation of static electricity.
  6. Wear necessary protective equipment.
  7. Avoid inhaling paint mist and avoid skin contact with paint and thinners.
  8. If paint accidentally splashes into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
  9. Properly dispose of empty paint cans and leftover paint to avoid environmental contamination.
  10. Take all other necessary safety and fire prevention measures based on the specific conditions of the site.
